Vaishno Devi Temple - The Divine Abode of Mata Rani in the Trikuta Hills

The Vaishno Devi Temple is one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites in India, located in the beautiful Trikuta Hills near Katra in Jammu & Kashmir. Mythological Legend

According to Hindu mythology, Mata Vaishno Devi took refuge in the cave while meditating. The demon Bhairavnath pursued her, and after a fierce battle, the Goddess beheaded him. Later, upon his repentance, she forgave him and granted him a boon that devotees’ pilgrimage would only be complete after visiting the Bhairavnath Temple.

The temple is open throughout the year. However, the most auspicious times include:

i. Navratri (Chaitra & Sharad Navratri)

ii. Summer months (March to June)

iii. Early winter season
